Let's take care of those flowers!
You just got some beautiful flowers! Here are all the tips and tricks to keeping them on your counter, looking great, for as long as possible!

Change the Water
Changing the water frequently- at least every three days- will help give your blooms some extra life! Certain flower varieties can dirty the water easier than others, allowing bacteria to grow in the water- and bacteria is what will send your stems on a downward spiral pretty quick! Change your water and rinse of your vase frequently to prevent bacterial build up

Cut Stems & Remove Old
Let's be real- some of the prettiest flowers just don't last the longest (I'm looking at your peonies and dahlias!!) and leaving them in the arrangement when they're past their prime is only hurting the other stems still going strong!
When changing your water, give your stems a fresh cut (not too much, even a quarter of an inch will do!) and remove all the old, spent blooms. This will also give you the fun opportunity of rearranging your flowers!
